Static Shielding Bags (SSB) are designed to protect electronic components and assemblies from electrostatic discharge (ESD) during storage, handling and transportation. They are manufactured by depositing a thin metal coating, such as aluminium, over an antistatic polyester film substrate. The metalized layer helps shield sensitive components from external electrostatic fields. Metal-in and metal-out variants are available for different packaging requirements.
